Things to Do in La Jolla and San Diego

1. Head to La Jolla's and San Diego's many beaches, all free to the public.

2. Visit La Jolla Cove. It's a great place to watch and enjoy the sunset on the beach.

3. San Diego's Seaport Village is a great place to visit, for a laid back day of hanging out. There is free entertainment, leisurely strolling and window-shopping.

4. Tecolote Shores of Mission Bay Park, is a 4,600-acre aquatic park. The perfect place for when you are in the mood to fly a kite.

5. The Organ Pavillion is one of world's largest outdoor pipe organs. Free organ concerts are given at 2 p.m. on Sundays at the Spreckels Organ Pavillion in Balboa Park.

6. There are over 20 miles of scenic paths available to joggers and walkers, along Mission Bay Park's many trails.

7. Stargaze on the first Wednesday of every month, at Balboa Park, outside the Reuben H. Fleet Science Center. Telescopes are provided by the San Diego Astronomy Association.

8. Have a picnic in Torrey Pines State Park. If the winds are right, you may just be entertained by fearless hang-gliders doing tricks along the cliff dotted coastline.

9. Take a stroll, rollerblade or bicycle along the Mission Beach Boardwalk. Located along scenic Mission and Pacific Beaches, the boardwalk runs about 3-miles.

10. After dark, gather friends and some firewood for a bonfire at the beach. Coronado Beach, La Jolla Shores and Mission Beach are great places to have fun, once the sun goes down.

11. Kids and adults will enjoy exploring the tidepools in Point Loma at low tide. Spend hours discovering all the wonderous sea life at your fingertips.
